Additional Information
Rebekah Marsh teaches ECG interpretation to critical care and telemetry nurses at Harborview Medical Center in Seatle, Washington. She has also previously studied Fine Art prior to becoming a nurse. By combining rhythm
strips and diagrams of the heart with fine art images (and even some occasional physical movement on stage),
she helps teach the language of ECG in a way that connects rhythms with pathophysiology for a deeper
understanding and reduced anxiety around learning ECG and responding to dysrhythmias. Basic ACLS rhythms
are covered.
Learning Objectives:
1. Interpret cardiac dysrhythmias with increased confidence through review of essential ECG concepts.
2. Review current evidence-based recommendations for ECG monitoring in the critical and
progressive care environment.
3. Connect to the art of interpretation and reading the ever-variable written language of ECG through
visualization of fine artworks that relate to various ACLS dysrhythmias.
